East Coast Pro Dance Are you a current, former or prospective professional dancer or cheerleader? Does your team need fresh choreography? Would you like to meet others in the industry or hear about audition opportunities?

Then get ready for the 2nd Annual East Coast Pro Dance Workshop in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, November 19, 2011! 

 

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! EVENT ALSO INCLUDES REALITY TV CASTING! 

Announced November 10, 2011: An established NYC production company will attend this Philadelphia based East Coast Pro Dance Convention on Saturday, November 19 to hold a casting for a 2012 reality TV. The show will follow pro cheer audition candidates and provide complimentary audition coaching by Going Pro Entertainment certified pro cheer consultants. To be considered for the casting, please enroll in either half day session (9am-12pm or 1:30-4:30pm) or the full day session for the East Coast Pro Dance Convention. Your enrollment fee serves as your casting application fee. Attire should be dance or athletic wear. Casting includes learning dance/cheer choreography, interview and photograph, all to be completed on November 19. No dance or cheer experience is required. Must be 18 years of age or older by January 15, 2011. Walk-ins are welcome with cash or credit. If you have questions please contact info@goingproentertainment.com.

You'll hear from experts in each of these industries. Go above and beyond the choreography and dig deep ... perfect yourself in the following areas:

** Makeup, Hair & Attire (MORNING) - Don't settle for less than the best from head to toe! Learn makeup and hair care tricks, get personal advice, and hear what not to do when selecting audition and team attire!

** Coaching Roundtable (MID-DAY) - Meet others, including coaches from arena football, professional lacrosse, collegiate teams and more. This session will occur during the convention lunch break, 12-1:30pm at the hotel's Trophies Lounge. Lunch is not provided but available to you by individual order. Open to coaches of all types and levels. Attendance is free if you are unable to attend the other convention sessions.

** Fitness & Nutrition (AFTERNOON) - Bust your butt during our extreme pro cheer boot camp, and hear about the best food options to get the look you want and the energy you need!  

** Communication (AFTERNOON) - Hear the top speaking and interview tips from all the pros including the reigning Ms. United States.

ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHERS

   

Marla Congialdi-ViturelloMarla Viturello

Marla has 14 years combined professional dance experience as an NFL cheerleader and Director / Choreographer for Bon Jovi’s Philadelphia Soulmates, the highly acclaimed AFL dance team which Marla developed from the ground up.

Marla was a six-year cheerleader and captain with the NFL in Philadelphia. She was named 1999 NFL ProBowl Cheerleader and was named “fan favorite” at the big game. Recently, Marla choreographed the NFL Philadelphia Chapter Susan B Komen Dance event, an event that encompassed cheerleader alumni from the 1960s to 2010.

Marla was a guest instructor for the All Pro 3 convention in Atlanta, Ga, teaching hundreds of NFL, NBA, AFL, and NHL dancers. She has competed, coached and judged at the state, regional, national and professional levels in cheerleading, dance and gymnastics. Marla choreographed for the International Modeling and Talent Association in New York City and was a dancing/singing coach for Barbizon Modeling Agency, where she also did talent recruitment. She has appeared on many TV and radio talk shows, including the first episode of Lou Tilley’s Sport’s Connection. Marla has coordinated and choreographed performances for Jon Bon Jovi concerts, the AFL Arena bowl commercial in Vegas 2006 with Mike Ditka and Ron Jaworski, and a slot tournament with the HBO Sopranos cast in Atlantic City, NJ.

Marla is a certified instructor for the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, a registered nurse, and has a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University. Her current profession is medical director for a worker’s comp and social security disability law firm in Center City Philadelphia.

 

Cassie RussoCassie Russo

As a professional dancer, Cassie has appeared on The Today Show, Good Day Philadelphia, Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, and Pix Morning News. Cassie debuted on her first national tour as backup dancer for the world-renowned country act Rascal Flatts on their "Bob that Head" International concert tour.

Cassie was a member of the Philadelphia Wings Angels Dance Team and the New York Titans Dance Team, as she performed in the world’s most famous stadium Madison Square Garden. She directed and choreographed for the Philadelphia Fight Vixens supporting local professional rugby. In Cassie’s most recent venture involves The Unofficial Dancers of the New York Giants, Inc—“Breaking new ground and establishing the first ever dance team in support of the NFL’S New York Giants.” She continues to be a guest choroegrapher for this incredible dance crew.

Cassie has had the distinct honor of working with famous choreographers Robert Hoffman, Dave Scott, Jafar, Brooke Lipman, Shotyme and Pasha and Anya from Fox Networks “So You Think You Can Dance”. Cassie trained at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles with celebrity choreographers Shane Sparks, Tabitha and Napoleon, Brian Friedman of Fox Network's So You Think You Can Dance, Donyelle Jones and Shorty of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, Brittney Spears' lead dancer Jesse Santos and the Pussycat dolls choreographer Mickey Minden and owner Robin Antin.

Cassie has acted as co-host on the Comcast OnDemand series Girls Night Out—Showcasing the best nightlife including restaurants, clubs and venues in Philadelphia. Cassie has also been a featured Hip-Hop and Jazz Funk choreographer on the PBS show Tempo.

Cassie holds a double-major degree in Dance and Liberal Arts from DeSales University. She operates CaRu Entertainment, teaching classes in Pennington, New Jersey.

  

Erin DonnellyErin Donnelly

Erin was a four-year NFL cheerleader and two-year captain in St. Louis. She was chosen as the 2007 ProBowl representative, appeared in four swimsuit calendars, competed on the Cheerleader Playoffs on the NFL Network in 2006 and was a guest on Saint Louis Sports Tonight on FSN Midwest. She feels privileged to have traveled throughout the United States and overseas to visit the military in Afghanistan, Qatar, South Korea and Japan.

Erin has over 17 years of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip hop and choreography background. Erin has judged many dance and talent competitions throughout Missouri and Illinois, and recently attended the Federation of Dance Competitions Gala in New Orleans as a representative of Triplett and Propst Performing Arts Studio.

As Erin completes a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, she enjoys touring with the USA Science Cheerleaders, comprised of alumni and current NFL and NBA dancers. Through this program, she challenges stereotypes and gives some "cheer" to the science-minded population, especially young female students. 

Currently Erin is a ballet instructor as well as the regional director of Going Pro Entertainment and consults with teams and individuals throughout the Philadelphia area.

 

Laura Eilers Ms United States 2011Laura Eilers

Laura was a six-year NFL cheerleader, spending one year with St. Louis and five years with Kansas City. During her years with the NFL, she received honors such as captain, choreographer, swimsuit calendar model, junior program leader and ProBowl Cheerleader runner up.

She is the reigning Ms. United States, receiving the national title representing Virginia in summer 2011. As Ms. United States Laura represents "Let's Move" to fight childhood obesity, visiting schools and organizations to teach fun ways to live healthy.

Laura coordinates and consults dance and cheer teams in the American Basketball Assocation, Premier Basketball League, United Football League and the Professional Indoor Football League, including the production of junior programs and swimsuit calendars. This is her third season directing and choreographing for the Lady Raiders in Richmond, Va, named the league's best dance team.

In years past, Laura has enjoyed roles including head instructor for Universal Dance Association, director’s assistant for the AFL Kansas City Brigade Girls, Spirit Squad Coordinator and Head Cheerleading Coach at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., and Dance Team Coach for St. Teresa’s Academy in Kansas City, Mo. She danced and choreographed for the nationally ranked dance team at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo, where she received a BA in Public Communication and was selected to intern for the United States Senate in Washington, DC.

As the creative director and choreographer of the USA Science Cheerleaders, Laura leads performances comprised of pro cheer alumni of the NFL and NBA. Appearances have been held in Texas, New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Las Vegas.

Laura's greatest achievement was choreographing, dancing and singing with the Armed Forces Entertainment, traveling to seven countries supporting the U.S. military. She appeared on CMT's Making the Team: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in 2008 as a semifinalist. You can find her instructing at J'adore Dance Studio in Midlothian, Va, or judging competitions in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Virginia. 

Laura is a member of management teams for Going Pro Entertainment and Angela King Designs Go Wild! Wear, as well as an NASM certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
